Who is Jesus?

Have you ever heard of the person or name Jesus Christ? For some people they might remember Sunday school stories, others have only heard this name used in movies or in their home as a curse word.

Mark, Tam, Charli and Hudson have all been on their own individual journeys discovering who Jesus is and making the decision to place their faith and trust in Him. They’re thankful for the local churches, ministries and courses they’ve been involved with in Australia and now in Japan that faithfully teach people each week more about Jesus!

So what about you? If someone asked you “Who is Jesus?” How would you respond?

 

Thankfully, when we read the gospel of John, Jesus taught his disciples who He was. There are many statements from Jesus answering this question! We pray as you read how Jesus responded it can help you learn more about Him.

Jesus said “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty”

John 6:35.

Jesus said “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life”.

John 8:12.

Jesus said, “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.”

John 10:9

Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

John 10:11

Jesus said ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die”

John 11:25-26.

Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

John 14:6

Jesus said, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful”

John 15: 1-2

These are 7 powerful statements from Jesus himself telling us EXACTLY who He is!
