What We Do

Language Learning

We are passionate about communicating with the Japanese people in their native language. We will be focused on becoming more fluent over the next 2 years through language school, private tuition and personal study to help us communicate effectively.

Hikari House

Hikari means "Light" in Japanese.

We pray that as people enter our home they can sense God's presence and learn about Jesus - the LIGHT of the world.

We love to open our home to guests (both in our local community & from overseas) to share meals together, chats over coffee, spontaneous art sessions, & for short term stays. As we spend time connecting in this way, relationships are strengthened and opportunities for sharing our faith & praying for one another can arise.

Supporting & Encouraging the local church

We are currently attending Nara Lifesong church, serving in their English & Bible teaching ministry. We will also be regularly visiting other churches in the Kansai Region to connect and encourage the body of Christ. Our long term vision is to see God's church planted in Nara.

Prayer & Intercession

We love to pray and God has called us to pray for Japan. For the churches, the pastors, the missionaries and especially revival in the hearts of the Japanese people. We currently prayer walk our area, in preparation for what the Lord has for this community .
